Community Guidelines

At MatchFamilies we are committed to creating a safe and authentic space for all our users. These Guidelines and our Terms of Service are designed to ensure every user has a safe and enjoyable experience on MatchFamilies. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in losing access to our platform.

RESPECT ALL USERS

We’re a very diverse community, with different cultures, religions and languages. Please keep this in mind while using MatchFamilies and respect other people’s beliefs, interests and property. MatchFamilies takes a strong stance against hate speech, rude or abusive behaviour, and bullying. You should behave the same way on Match Families as you would in real life. Additionally we encourage all of our users to report anyone who does not follow these behavioural guidelines. As a community we expect all of our users to respect each other, themselves, and the MatchFamilies staff.

COMMUNITCATE AUTHENTICALLY

We strongly advise against copying and pasting the same message to every connection. We encourage our users to read profiles, learn about other people’s interests, and send an appropriate, relevant message to each match. We promise this will increase your chances of engaging in interesting conversations.

Do not pretend you are someone you are not, which means do not post photos that are not of you and do not create duplicate or fake accounts.

PHOTO GUIDELINES

The photos that you choose to use as your family profile pictures must be of you and your family. This will allow other users to identify you and your family, and allow us to ensure false profiles are not created. For better anonymity you can use our blurring filters for your pictures.

Photos with no people will be removed.

MatchFamilies is for 18+ years, therefore we don’t allow children to be alone in photos as representatives of their parents on MatchFamilies. In addition, all children must be completely clothed. This is safer for both children and their parents.

  • No photos in bikinis/swimwear indoors.

  • No pictures in underwear.

  • No Shirtless/underwear Mirror Selfies.

  • Face must be clearly visible in all photos.

  • No watermarks or text overlaid.

  • No pornographic material.

  • No graphic hunting photos.

  • No guns.

  • No personal contact information in photos or bio.

NO SOLICITING

MatchFamilies isn’t for selling things. If you try to use it as a marketplace, you’ll be banned.

Commercial posts and advertising are not permitted on MatchFamilies. That means no coupon codes or special offers on your profile, in your photo or on the discussion board.

If you would like to discuss a partnership with us, please contact info@matchfamilies.com

DON'T DO ANYTHING ILLEGAL

Illegal activity will not be tolerated on MatchFamilies. This may result in being banned or restricted from the app and/or being reported to the authorities.

CONDUCT AT IN-PERSON EVENTS

MatchFamilies Official Events events are open to all members and their guests. The only exceptions are events with closed guest lists due to limited space or registration deadlines

Our community guidelines should also be followed at in-person events.  Any member behaving in an inappropriate manner at an event — be it in person or online — is subject to having their MatchFamilies membership revoked.

We use a combination of automated systems and a team of moderators to monitor and review accounts and messages for content that indicates breaches of these Guidelines and our Terms of Service. If you don’t follow these guidelines, you’ll receive a warning (unless our team decides to block or restrict access without warning at our discretion). If you ignore this warning, you risk losing your account. These guidelines are designed to make MatchFamilies a friendly and safe place for all our users.

SAFETY

Your safety is important to us, and our community guidelines exist to ensure your safety. Despite this, it is important for you to use your own judgment when interacting with and meeting other members you don’t know well yet.

AVOID SHARING PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • Avoid sharing personal information with people you have only just met.

  • Never share your financial information with someone you’ve met online.

  • Be careful to check that personal information is not visible in any photos you share.

KEEP CONVERSATION IN THE APP

You are encouraged to only exchange messages within the MatchFamilies app.

MEETING IN PERSON

When meeting another user in person you do so at your own risk. We recommend you follow the following guidelines:

  • We encourage you to make use of the MatchFamilies organised events to meet other families.

  • Before meeting with someone, spend a little time getting to know them online first.

  • When meeting in person, meet somewhere public, trust your instincts, and use common sense.

REPORT SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOUR

If you notice any suspicious behaviour, misconduct, harassment or abuse report it to info@matchfamilies.com
