I’m Dzhangar, I'm 35 years old, married, and father of 2 beautiful daughters. I moved to Germany with my family in 2016 for a work assignment within a multinational corporation.
In 2020 I quit my job and founded my own company and in early March 2021 I launched MatchFamilies App.
Here is why:
When you move to a new city or country, you leave your social circle behind and you need to build a new one from scratch. It’s inevitable, it takes a lot of time and effort, and a lot of it depends on good luck. And so I thought - how could this process be easier?
The main challenge is that you know that there must be a family, that lives in the same city, with common interests and maybe even with kids of the same age as yours, that will be a great match to your family. That is certain. But how would you find them? Seriously!? What are the chances of your paths ever crossing? How long would it take?
Over the years I’ve tried all traditional ways of meeting new people - through my kids, my colleagues, online communities etc. We were lucky enough to meet some great families who are our friends now. The issue is that it took us a LOT of time.
I was hoping that maybe there was a nice app that could help us find matching people (we all use apps for all kinds of stuff, right?). However, there was nothing (I found hundreds of apps for singles but nothing for married people or couples)...Hey, That’s so unfair!
Therefore, I decided to create one.
I think technology can really help here. It enables a new way to meet new people and make friends as well as creates thousands of chances to meet genuinely matching families or couples.
The pandemic has taken our social lives from us and I really hope that MatchFamilies App will become a useful and valuable tool for families and couples who want to expand their social circle. What is more important than family and friends?
